Three Cheers For Comcast
I love, love, love the new talking menus on Comcast. I just keep wandering around looking at all the shows that are on at any given time. I guess I knew this but never quite let it sink all the way into my brain.
How have sighted people been able to make choices all this time?
We are in the middle of a snow storm and as long as I have cable and power I can just keep exploring the world of TV. I don’t really end up watching anything. I just keep listening to the options. I watch pieces of shows. Last night I watched half the Walton’s. That is, have the show the Walton’s, not half the family.
I get so worn out from the exploring that I end up back with my book. I do love knowing that all that TV is there if I should need it.
If you have Comcast, here is how you get started.
There is a small triangle shaped button above the number 1 key on the Comcast remote. Just press that twice once the TV is on and then listen to the instructions. Everything is clearly explained. Be patient, sometimes changes take a little more time than you think they should. This is a Beta version.
Be careful, you could be stuck doing this for a while.
