Spring!!!

Spring!!!
I know I post about this every year but here I go again.
I am so happy that spring has arrived. I can hardly contain myself.
A couple of weeks ago we took the flannel sheets off our bed. This is step number one.
Two days ago the peepers started singing and although they were late this year I can’t really blame them.
Now we are sleeping with the window open in our bedroom and I have folded back the lovely new quilt we bought in Canada last fall.
I just came back in from moving the dead leaves out from the front flower bed. They were so matted that the sweet little bulbs could not get through them.
I still can’t do any real gardening. The soil is too wet to walk on.
The birds are all back.
The days are getting longer by leaps and bounds.
Our dog does not need to be shoved outside.
It is the little things that make me happy.
Well, I still like the big things.
I will put up with winter every year just to have spring. By the end of the week I will have completely forgotten about winter. Winter is like being in labor. Once that baby is born the pane no longer exists no matter how hard you try to remember it.
We will have flowers soon and baby leaves on the trees.
Life is good and it keeps on getting better.
