Friday in Florence
This turned out to be the best day ever.
We got a slower start.
We had the usual breakfast out and I had still more hot chocolate.
Next we headed to the Brgelle Museum. This is a sculpture museum in what once was the town hall and later, 15th century, a prison. Since it was all sculpture, I decided to take a chance and touch some things. Statues made by Michael Angelo and Donatello for example. A very nice woman came over and said I could not touch them without gloves. I was not too upset because I had already touched enough to make my head spin. A couple of minutes later she came back with gloves. Now I felt like I was in heaven with all the characters I was touching and almost hugging. So, now that I was an official toucher I wanted to go back and touch the statue of Bacchus. He was on a platform so I climbed up. While I was busy bonding with Michael Angelo, I did not notice the woman with the Taser. Once she noticed that I was blind she seemed to want to crawl under the rug that was not there. I was just busy being high on soaking up Michael’s vibrations.
We then went to the church Santa Chroce. We visited Michael’s tumb along with those of Galileo and Marconi. The church was really peaceful.
Then of course it was time for lunch.
Nap time again.
After napping we took a walk and looked at more amazing clothes that were so expensive that we just gasped.
A friend of Joanne joined us for drinks before dinner and then we went back to our place, Coquinarius.
Of course the food was perfect and they were so nice to us because it was my birthday.
What a wonderful day.
